Fiesta Seat Bolt Cover Instructions

How to Install

  1. Clear the area. Move the seat fully to the back so you have a clear view and maximum access to the seat brackets. Wipe any dirt or dust off the bolt head and bracket. Warning: debris in the bracket, in and around the bolt, can stop the cover from seating fully.
  2. Line it up. Hold the cover with the flat end toward the back. Set it directly over the bolt head so the ring sits evenly around it. Let it rest on the bracket without pushing yet.
  3. Press straight down. Put your thumbs or palm flat on top of the cover and push straight down with firm, steady pressure. Keep it level and don’t rock it. While you press, make sure the flat end at the back lines up with the seat rail.
  4. Push until it’s fully down. Keep pressing until the cover sits flush against the bracket with no gap, or a minimal one. You may feel it click into place as it locks in. Not every bracket gives a clear click, so go by the fit.
  5. Check and repeat. Look around the edge to confirm the cover is fully down, then repeat for the other covers.

Good to know: bolts aren’t always centered in their brackets, so it’s normal for an installed cover to sit slightly off-center on the bracket.

Tip: the covers are made to grip, so expect to use real pressure. If one won’t go down, lift it off, check the alignment and look for debris, then try again. Don’t hammer it.

Removing the Seat Bolt Cover

You’ll need a small flat tool, such as a small flathead screwdriver, and some painter’s tape.

  1. Protect the bracket. Wrap the tip of the tool in a few layers of painter’s tape so it can’t scratch the painted bracket.
  2. Slip it in. Slide the taped tip into the gap between the bracket and the bottom edge of the cover.
  3. Pry it off. Gently pry upward until the cover releases. If it’s stubborn, work around the edge and pry at a second spot.
